Cho Kuk: "Chu Mi-ae Was Right, Yoon Loses Justification to Run After 'Victim Cosplay'"
Court Dismisses Yoon's Lawsuit to Revoke Prosecutor General Suspension

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Joo-hee] Cho Kuk, former Minister of Justice, demanded that Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, apologize to the public, saying, "It has been reaffirmed that Chu Mi-ae was right," and "(Yoon's) justification for running in the presidential election has collapsed," in relation to the dismissal ruling in the lawsuit to cancel the suspension order filed during Yoon's tenure as Prosecutor General.
On the 10th, Cho posted on his Facebook, "Following the administrative court's ruling last October that the disciplinary action against former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol by former Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae was lawful, today the court dismissed Yoon Seok-yeol's lawsuit to cancel the suspension order," he said. Dismissal means ending the trial without a substantive judgment due to failure to meet the lawsuit requirements.
Cho continued, "Will the media and self-proclaimed 'progressive' figures who have defended Yoon Seok-yeol's serious misconduct, slandered the disciplinary action against former Minister Chu as illegal, and criticized, mocked, and disparaged her, apologize?"
He added, "Yoon Seok-yeol declared his presidential candidacy while playing the 'victim' role, claiming that the disciplinary action by former Minister Chu was an 'unfair oppression by the regime.' The court's ruling has destroyed the justification for his presidential run. He must apologize to the people and the Moon Jae-in administration," he pointed out.
According to reports, on this day, the Seoul Administrative Court's Administrative Division 4 (Presiding Judge Han Won-gyo) dismissed the lawsuit filed by candidate Yoon to cancel the suspension order issued by former Minister Chu during his tenure as Prosecutor General. Since a disciplinary action of a two-month suspension was decided against Yoon and a separate lawsuit is ongoing, there is no reason to dispute the suspension order.
Yoon was suspended from duty by former Minister Chu in December last year due to confirmed serious misconduct while serving as Prosecutor General. Subsequently, a disciplinary committee convened and imposed a two-month suspension.
