Yeonggwang-gun Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' for the National Happiness Civil Service Office
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced that it was selected as an excellent institution for the National Happiness Civil Service Office by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety this year and held a plaque ceremony at the entrance of the Comprehensive Civil Service Office at the county office on the 10th.
The plaque ceremony was attended by the governor, the chairman of the county council, county council members, and employees of the Comprehensive Civil Service Office.
The National Happiness Civil Service Office is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety comprehensively evaluates the internal and external environment of civil service offices and civil service administrative services nationwide, including local governments, education offices, and tax offices, selects excellent institutions annually, and recognizes their status for three years.
This year, 18 institutions including the county received new certification for the National Happiness Civil Service Office.
The county installed a wheelchair lift to improve accessibility for socially vulnerable groups and provided various convenience items such as sign language video phones, hearing aids, and magnifiers, as well as established and operated priority counters for socially considerate persons.
They also created a user-centered civil service office environment so that anyone can conveniently visit the civil service office and receive various services.
In addition, they operated a civil service processing mileage system, regularly inspected the status of civil service processing every month, selected friendly public officials, provided customized psychological counseling support for civil service officers, and formed a response team for emergency situations in the civil service office and conducted mock drills.
The county received high evaluations for providing prompt civil service and creating a safe civil service environment.
Governor Kim Junsung said, “We will not stop at being selected as an excellent institution for the National Happiness Civil Service Office, but will make further efforts to make Yeonggwang a happy place for residents by providing prompt and friendly civil services.”
