Gyeonggawon and Gangwon Forest Science Institute Sign 'Business Agreement'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has signed a research cooperation agreement with the Gangwon-do Forest Science Institute.
On the 9th, the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Gangwon Forest Science Institute at the Bio Center in Gwanggyo Technovalley, Yeongtong, Suwon, for the "activation of the forest bio and natural products industry and research cooperation."
According to the agreement, the two institutions will mutually cooperate on ▲ securing forest biological resources and establishing a utilization foundation ▲ supporting product development for industrialization ▲ discovering joint research projects and exchanging information.

Lee Jong-seok, head of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency Bio Center, said, "Through this agreement, we expect to secure abundant forest resources in Gangwon-do and ensure a stable supply of resources with verified functionalities," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to support product development for natural product-related companies in the province and to create high value-added resources from domestic native plants."
