The performance sharing meeting held by the AI Convergence College AI Convergence Talent Development Project Group (Director Jung Young-gi) featured a total of 34 works submitted in categories including student autonomous projects, corporate-linked projects, excellent results from practical curriculum support, and AI startup ideas.
In addition, eight AI participating companies, including TmaxSoft, introduced their companies and conducted employment counseling with students through employment counseling booths.
In the student autonomous project category, the Department of Future Automotive Engineering (Lee Jun-hyuk, Yoon Byung-hee, Lee Seul-i), which carried out the 'Autonomous Driving Model Car Cost Innovation Project,' won the grand prize, and a total of three teams were honored with awards.
Also, in the AI startup idea competition held in the afternoon, the ‘Autoneer team,’ which submitted the idea on 'Improving Driving Obstacle Detection through Sensor Fusion and Reinforcement Learning,' won the grand prize, followed by awards for a total of ten teams.
President Park Sang-chul said, "Practical education using AI is not only a model for future-oriented talent development pursued by Honam University but also something that must be continuously developed in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. I applaud the students and professors who actively participated in a short period of three months and submitted creative results."
