Changwon National University Holds the 1st Gyeongnam Human Rights Forum

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon National University Human Rights Center announced on the 8th that it held the '1st Gyeongnam Human Rights Forum' with support from the National University Development Project.
The forum was co-hosted by Changwon National University Human Rights Center, Changwon City, Gyeongsangnam-do Human Rights Commission, Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education Human Rights Management Center, and the National Human Rights Commission Busan Human Rights Office, and was organized to establish a foundation for the development of human rights in the region.
The forum began with congratulatory remarks from Lee Ho-young, president of Changwon National University, followed by presentations including 'Development of Gyeongnam Human Rights System and Efforts to Guarantee Human Rights for a Sustainable Society' by Lee Jeong-eun, professor of sociology at Changwon National University; 'Creating a Child-Friendly City Model in Changwon Where Children Are Happy' by Changwon City; 'Positive Effects of Educational Human Rights Management Policies on Children and Adolescents' by Song Se-ryeon, professor at Kyung Hee University Law School; and 'The Role of University Human Rights Centers and Tasks for Promoting Human Rights in Gyeongnam' by Lee Jang-hee, professor of law at Changwon National University.
This was followed by a comprehensive discussion and Q&A session involving professors Lee Jeong-eun, Song Se-ryeon, and Lee Jang-hee.

A representative of the Human Rights Center said, "We hope this forum served as a time to recognize the importance of building regional networks, solidarity, and cooperation for the promotion of human rights in Gyeongnam, and to spread a consensus on human rights values within the region."
