Discusses Future Education and More at Korea-OECD Seminar
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Yoo Eun-hye will meet with Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills at the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), to discuss policies for the normalization of education and the future direction of education.
On the 7th, the Ministry of Education announced that Deputy Prime Minister Yoo and Director Schleicher will hold a meeting at the Government Complex Sejong to discuss educational issues and jointly host the 'Korea-OECD Seminar' with the OECD.
This event was organized to share opinions on the future of Korean education and derive implications during the preparation process for the publication of the 'OECD Education 2030 Korea Report.'
The Ministry of Education has participated in the OECD Education 2030 project since 2015, diagnosing the current status of Korean education with a focus on developing students' autonomy and has been promoting the publication of the OECD 2030 report to explore policy implications for future education.
