Nongshim Shares Warmth with Shin Ramyun... Donates Over 5,300 Boxes to Local Communities
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Nongshim announced on the 6th that it will donate 3,000 boxes of Shin Ramyun to the Seoul Dongjak Welfare Foundation for underprivileged groups in the local community.
In particular, this year, not only the headquarters but also six factories nationwide are participating in the donation, and Nongshim will deliver a total of about 5,300 boxes of Shin Ramyun to the local community.
The Shin Ramyun donation of love is a representative social contribution activity through which Nongshim delivers warmth to the local community every winter. It started in 2008 and marks its 14th year this year, with a total of about 57,000 boxes of ramen shared by Nongshim so far.
The Shin Ramyun donated by Nongshim is prepared through the 'Happy Fund' collected together by employees and Nongshim. The Happy Fund, which is the source of Nongshim's social contribution activities, operates on a 'matching grant' basis, where the company adds sponsorship funds equal to the amount voluntarily donated by employees.
A Nongshim official said, "We hope that the Shin Ramyun of love will provide some strength to neighbors whose bodies and minds are exhausted by the winter cold and COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities that can provide practical help to the local community."
