'Sisilli 2km' Director Shin Jeong-won Passes Away Due to Sepsis
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Director Shin Jeong-won (photo), who directed the film 'Sicily 2km,' passed away on the 4th due to sepsis. He was 47 years old.
According to the bereaved family, Director Shin visited the emergency room the day before with high fever and difficulty breathing, was transferred to the intensive care unit, but passed away that day.
Director Shin debuted in 2004 with Sicily 2km and went on to make films such as 'Chaw' (2009) and 'The Fortune Tellers' (2012). Last year, he directed 'Night of the Undead,' his first new work in eight years.

Survived by his wife Hong Se-in, son Shin Marin, and mother Hwang Young-ok. The funeral is being held in Room 2 of the Gangnam Severance Hospital funeral hall. The funeral procession will be at 10 a.m. on the 6th.
