Strong quarantine measures and the voluntary cooperation of all county residents are urgently needed.”
Governor Kim said, “So far, a total of 173 confirmed cases have occurred in our county, of which 167 are community infections. Since the 23rd of last month, 41 confirmed cases have been reported,” adding, “The virus is spreading rapidly in various everyday community spaces, indicating a very serious situation.”
He explained, “To break the chain of COVID-19 community infections, we are canceling various events, recommending residents to refrain from movement, conducting thorough epidemiological investigations, and performing proactive mass testing in affected areas to identify asymptomatic carriers. We are putting forth our utmost efforts to block the spread of COVID-19 and manage the situation stably.”
Furthermore, he emphasized, “To return to a healthy daily life as soon as possible, active cooperation and participation from all county residents are necessary.”
In particular, he urged, “Returning to the basics by adhering to and participating in quarantine rules is the only way to prevent the spread of community infections and accelerate ‘complete daily recovery.’ Please refrain from visiting multi-use facilities and private gatherings, and strictly follow quarantine rules such as wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.”
Governor Kim stated, “The government has announced special quarantine measures, including limiting private gatherings outside the metropolitan area to eight people or fewer, and has set a special quarantine inspection period for one month,” adding, “In line with the government’s strengthened quarantine measures, we will mobilize all possible means and methods to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community and make our best efforts until the end.”
He added, “I hope everyone will once again unite their strength so that we can overcome this crisis together with the county residents.”
