Changwon City Secures 1.3171 Trillion KRW, an Increase of 222.6 Billion KRW Compared to the Previous Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 3rd that it secured a national budget proposal of 1.3171 trillion won for 2022, an increase of 222.6 billion won compared to this year.
This is a 20% increase from last year's 1.0945 trillion won, marking the largest scale ever.
Major projects include 4.4 billion won for the establishment of a gas turbine parts manufacturing technology support center in the regional industrial innovation sector, 4 billion won for the hydrogen transportation complex base construction project, 3.5 billion won for the establishment of a small and medium-sized special ship advancement support platform, 5.9 billion won for the wind nacelle test bed construction project, 3.1 billion won for the defense industry innovation cluster pilot project, 5.5 billion won for the ICT convergence manufacturing operation system development and demonstration project, and 6.2 billion won for the metal material demonstration test bed construction project.
In the urban environment creation sector, 16.1 billion won was allocated for the hydrogen electric vehicle distribution project, 21.4 billion won for eco-friendly vehicle distribution, 16.6 billion won for the reduction of emissions from operating diesel vehicles, 3.1 billion won for the installation of non-point pollution reduction facilities in the Changwon Namcheon watershed, 9.8 billion won for the maintenance of aging water supply networks, and 6.9 billion won for the Changwon Masan sewage pipe BTL private investment project.
In the agriculture, forestry, marine, and fisheries sector, 5.9 billion won was decided for the Myeongdong hub-type marina port development project, 3.1 billion won for the Anseong Port Fishing Village New Deal 300 project, and 2.9 billion won for the Samgwi Port Fishing Village New Deal 300 project.
In the regional development and transportation sector, 5.9 billion won was allocated for the Changwon BRT construction project, 2.8 billion won for the Hapjeong 1 District urban regeneration New Deal project, 4.1 billion won for the Chungmu District urban regeneration New Deal project, and 5 billion won for the development restriction zone resident support project.
Additionally, 3.3 billion won will be invested in the construction of the Changwon Democracy Hall, 8 billion won for the first meeting voucher, 34 billion won for the housing benefit support project, 6.8 billion won for the employment stability preemptive response package support project, and 3.2 billion won for the region-led youth job project.
The city plans to establish the status of Changwon Special City, which will be launched on January 13 next year, and lay the foundation for a great transformation by utilizing the largest national budget ever.
