Jang Ye-chan, former youth special advisor to Yoon Seok-yeol's national campaign, stated on his Facebook on the afternoon of the 2nd, "Jun-seok hyung, can you just once give up the leading role in your politics to the candidate? It is time for you to swallow your pride for regime change." He is known to have known Lee for several years.
He continued, "Making bombshell remarks on Facebook while drunk like now, and suddenly going into seclusion while traveling between Busan and Suncheon is not the behavior befitting the leader of the main opposition party on the verge of regime change," adding, "Usually, you demand to be treated as party leader, but when things get tough, you act as if you should be understood because you are a 37-year-old youth. That is not like you."
Former special advisor Jang added, "I don't know what the problem is, but whether it is the formation of the election committee or the publicity sector, if there is something you don't like, isn't it Lee Jun-seok's style to confront it head-on? Not responding to any contact like now is not like Lee Jun-seok."
He further explained, "Even if the election moves in a different direction from the plan you originally envisioned, we must, regardless of rank or status, respect the candidate's will and be supporting actors who become the seeds of regime change."
He claimed, "Jun-seok hyung, are you waiting for the candidate to open an exit strategy? But that is not the case," and argued, "No matter how much you think about it, it makes no sense for the candidate, who should be working to articulate the future and vision of the Republic of Korea, to be searching for you in Busan, Suncheon, Yeosu, or somewhere else due to internal party conflicts."
He also said, "Please return to party duties immediately and declare that you will devote everything solely for regime change," and added, "I hope you show the strength of a healthy party, the People Power Party, through expressing various opinions within the election committee instead of turning off your phone and going into hiding."
