[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Hyundai Rotem announced on the 2nd that it delivered 'Hope Boxes' containing health supplements such as red ginseng and enzymes, as well as daily necessities, to veterans of the Korean War who dedicated themselves to the country.
The Hope Boxes were donated through a delivery ceremony held the previous day with the Army's 51st Infantry Division and the nonprofit organization 'People Sharing Hope.' These will be provided to 1,000 veterans residing in the southern Gyeonggi region, including Hwaseong, Suwon, and Uiwang.
As a defense company, Hyundai Rotem is carrying out patriotic social contribution activities to fulfill its social responsibilities. Last year, it supported scholarships for Marine Corps soldiers and children of fallen soldiers through the Marine Corps Deoksan Scholarship Foundation. This year, it also visited military units directly to deliver consolation money for soldiers.
