‘Good Price Businesses’ are individual service businesses that provide high-quality services at lower prices compared to other establishments.
The government and local authorities have been designating such businesses since 2011 to stabilize individual service fees. Currently, 624 businesses are designated in the Busan area.
From October for one month, the city selected four excellent businesses this year through recommendations from districts and counties, as well as written and on-site evaluations. These businesses excel not only in price but also in hygiene, quality, service, and social volunteering.
▲Byeolmi Jip, located in Seogu, uses domestic ingredients such as monkfish, rice, and kimchi, and the owner personally cooks all the food. Despite difficulties due to COVID-19, the restaurant has kept prices frozen and also volunteers meals at local welfare centers.
▲Pungmi Chueotang in Namgu uses domestic ingredients such as loach and kimchi. The restaurant is known as a popular spot among nearby office workers for its clean taste and generous side dishes. It also participates annually in helping underprivileged neighbors, practicing community sharing.
▲Rodem Guksu Kalguksu in Sasang-gu has kept prices frozen for five years despite difficult circumstances. The noodles are freshly kneaded and made to order without preservatives. Ingredients such as kimchi and red pepper powder are domestic, and the broth made with anchovies topped with fish cake is praised for its clean taste. The restaurant is a member of the Hope Coupon Sharing program and participates in community volunteer activities.
▲Hope Tongdak in Dongnae-gu uses domestic ingredients and changes oil daily. It was selected as a ‘Century-old Store’ by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2020 and operates as a safe restaurant designated by the city.
The business operates a community living space called ‘Hope Stop’ in the basement level 1 of the building, serving the local community. Additionally, it contributes to various scholarship foundations and supports the Dongnae Comprehensive Welfare Center through volunteer activities.
Na Yoon-bin, Busan City’s Public Livelihood and Labor Policy Officer, said, “These businesses maintain good prices despite the difficult business environment caused by COVID-19, and lead in taste, service, and community sharing activities. We hope many people will use Good Price Businesses.”
