Samyang Group Conducts Regular Executive Personnel Changes... Kang Hoseong Appointed CEO of Samyang Corporation and Concurrent CEO of Samyang Inochem

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Samyang Group announced on the 1st that it has carried out regular executive appointments for a total of 11 people, including 9 promotions and 2 external hires.

This personnel move was made to promote changes aimed at strengthening Samyang Group's eco-friendly chemical materials business. Kang Hoseong, CEO of Samyang Corporation and Head of the Chemical Group, concurrently serves as CEO of Samyang Inochem and has newly established the Business PU (Performance Unit) and Production PU organizations at Samyang Inochem to accelerate the execution of growth strategies in the eco-friendly chemical business centered on isosorbide.

Isosorbide is a bio-material chemically processed from starch extracted from plant resources and is used in the production of plastics, paints, and adhesives. Currently, Samyang Group is completing the expansion of an isosorbide production plant with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons on the Samyang Inochem site in Gunsan, Jeonbuk.

Meanwhile, Samyang Group has established the mid-to-long-term growth strategy "Vision 2025" aiming to expand the specialty business and global market share through business structure advancement this year, and is fostering ▲ health and wellness industrial materials ▲ advanced industrial materials such as semiconductors and displays ▲ eco-friendly materials business across the group.
