Audi Volkswagen Korea "Delivering Winter Kits to Ssokbangchon"
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Audi Volkswagen Korea announced on the 30th that it delivered 400 winter cold-weather kits, consisting of cold-weather supplies and easy-to-cook food products, to the Donu-dong Shelter Counseling Center in Seoul.
The cold-weather kits were assembled after reviewing the inconveniences faced by residents of the jjokbangchon (small room villages). Considering the poor basic residential and heating/cooling facilities such as cooking rooms, and that 75% of the residents are elderly aged 65 or older, the kits include cold-weather supplies such as blankets and sleeping socks, along with easy-to-cook food products.
The winter cold-weather kits are part of a community sharing initiative jointly promoted by Audi Volkswagen Korea and its social contribution nonprofit partner, Korea Social Investment. The aim is to support marginalized neighbors who are becoming increasingly isolated from society due to the prolonged cold wave and COVID-19 restrictions, so they can have a warm year-end season.
