Hampyeong-gun Confirms 3 New Projects in Water Supply Sector... Secures 7.6 Billion KRW in National and Provincial Funding
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County has finalized new projects in the water supply sector for next year to provide safe and clean drinking water.
According to the county on the 30th, three new water supply projects for 2022 have been confirmed: ▲ Sonbul Rural Domestic Water Development Project ▲ Small-scale Water Facility Improvement Project ▲ Hampyeong County Smart Water Network Management Infrastructure Construction Project.
The Sonbul Rural Domestic Water Development Project is a project to establish a new water storage tank in Sonbul-myeon to ensure stable water supply to the outskirts of Hampyeong Water Purification Plant, including Sonbul and Singwang-myeon. The project will invest 5.9 billion KRW (4.7 billion KRW from the provincial government) and aims for completion in 2023.
The Small-scale Water Facility Improvement Project aims to improve aging water facilities to provide stable domestic water supply. It will invest 600 million KRW (400 million KRW from the provincial government) to upgrade old pipelines in Seonam district of School-myeon and Baekho district of Daedong-myeon.
The Hampyeong County Smart Water Network Management Infrastructure Construction Project integrates information and communication technology (ICT) into water supply facilities to build a system that operates and manages the entire process of tap water supply, enhancing the ability to respond to water supply accidents. The project will invest 3.6 billion KRW (2.5 billion KRW from the national government) and is scheduled to be completed by 2022.
