Unveiled New Genesis G90 "The Essence of Dynamic Elegance"
Genesis Unveils New 'G90' Exterior Images for the First Time
Genesis to Start Contracts for Completely Redesigned Flagship Sedan G90 in Mid Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Genesis has unveiled the first look at the new G90. The new G90 is a completely redesigned model released three years after the 2018 partial facelift, with the most notable feature being the maximization of Genesis's unique elegant design.
On the 30th, Genesis revealed the exterior design of the fully redesigned G90 for the first time and announced that contracts will begin in mid-next month. The company emphasized that the G90 has the most elegant exterior among all Genesis vehicles released so far.
The crest grille at the center front features the Genesis-exclusive G-Matrix pattern, stacked in a staggered three-dimensional manner called 'Layered Architecture,' greatly enhancing the sense of luxury.
The two rows of headlamps located on either side of the grille implement Genesis's thinnest 'two-line design' by arranging the low beam lens, daytime running light (integrated turn signal) lens, and high beam lens in a crisscross pattern.
The side profile harmonizes the 'Parabolic Line' that starts from the hood and runs along the bottom of the windows to the trunk with the 'Athletic Power Line' of the fender surrounding the wheels, creating a strong and dynamic body volume.
The parabolic-shaped line (DLO) surrounding the front and rear windows complements the thick C-pillar, securing both openness and privacy for rear-seat passengers, completing an image befitting a top-tier luxury sedan.
The rear features the signature two-line rear combination lamps of Genesis design, extending along the trunk, with the Genesis lettering emblem neatly placed between the two lines.
Additionally, functional elements such as the license plate, various sensors, and reverse lights are positioned lower to create a clean and luxurious rear appearance.
The G90 Long Wheelbase secures a more spacious interior by extending the rear doors and C-pillar based on a longer overall length compared to the sedan, and it is equipped with exclusive 20-inch wheels for the long wheelbase model.
Moreover, the parabolic line surrounding the windows and chrome material applied to the B-pillar complete a presence-filled side profile, while exclusive front and rear bumpers provide differentiated luxury from the sedan.
Lee Sang-yeop, Executive Vice President of Genesis Global Design, said, "Through the G90, Genesis will present a design experience of a flagship luxury sedan redefined in a unique way. The G90 will showcase the essence of 'Athletic Elegance,' demonstrating a delicate balance that satisfies both dynamic driving and an elegant journey."
