Future Issue Solutions Explored with the Youth Generation
Overseas Culture Promotion Institute to Host World Future Forum on the 1st of Next Month
The Overseas Culture Promotion Agency and the Graduate School of International Policy at the Korea Development Institute will hold the World Future Forum at the Grand Walkerhill on the 1st of next month. They will share future issues facing the world together with the younger generation and seek solutions. Under the themes of culture, creativity, and innovation, they will present a new vision and discuss future strategies for sustainable development. The keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Gianpaolo Baiocchi from New York University. He is expected to talk about democracy, inequality, and politics for the youth.
The forum is divided into three sections. In "Social Capital and Youth Culture," Janos Bertok, Deputy Director of Public Governance at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), will present on youth policy participation and public-private cooperation culture for intergenerational justice. Valentina Mu?oz Rabanal, UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Advocate, will introduce experiments and outcomes related to youth social capital and government trust in the COVID-19 era. In "Digital Transformation and the Cultural Creative Sector," Jiha Jung, CEO of Tripvitoz, will share cases of innovating tourism services through data and technology.

In "Culture, Inclusion, and Wellness," writer Jayoung Bang will discuss the significance of community innovation and climate action change through culture and arts. Steve Duncan, director of the Center for Art Activism, will also participate to discuss art activism for social change and the role of youth. The following discussion will include Professor Taejun Lee from the Graduate School of International Policy at the Korea Development Institute, Sam Harvey, Director of the British Council Korea, and Javier Lopez Casarin, Chair of the Science, Technology, and Innovation Committee of the Mexican Congress. Park Jung-ryul, head of the Overseas Culture Promotion Agency, said, "I hope the younger generation communicates with the world from an innovative perspective and seeks ways to solve the challenges facing the future."
