New Variant 'Omicron' Breaches North America... 2 Cases Confirmed in Canada
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] The new COVID-19 variant 'Omicron' has been detected in the North American continent as well.
On the 28th (local time), according to AFP and other sources, Canadian authorities announced that two cases of COVID-19 Omicron variant infections were confirmed.
The authorities explained that these infected individuals were travelers who recently visited Nigeria in Africa.
The infected persons are currently quarantined in Ottawa, and health authorities are tracing their contacts.
