A Man in His 60s Arrested for Killing Acquaintance with a Knife at Traditional Market in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] A man in his 60s who stabbed a man he knew with a weapon and fled at a traditional market in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, has been arrested.
Judge Jung Yoon-ah of the Seoul Northern District Court issued an arrest warrant on the 28th for Mr. A, who is accused of murder, stating, "His residence is unclear and there is a risk of flight." The pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) was canceled due to Mr. A's health reasons and was conducted in writing.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing the victim, who was smoking together on the road of a traditional market in Gangbuk-gu, at around 6:10 p.m. on the 25th, causing the victim's death.
