[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu recently held an emergency quarantine meeting on the morning of the 26th at the Planning Situation Room on the 3rd floor of the district office with representatives of related organizations to establish an organic quarantine response system among institutions in response to the rapid increase in COVID-19 confirmed cases.

In addition, due to a recent cluster infection at the Noryangjin Fish Market, the district is operating an on-site situation room in cooperation with Seoul City and others, issuing mandatory preemptive testing administrative orders for all distribution workers, and operating mobile screening clinics to actively respond.
Mayor Lee Chang-woo stated, “Since the 22nd, the district has strengthened quarantine measures independently, including tightening private gathering limits to six persons at the district office and affiliated institutions, and requiring all employees to undergo mandatory PCR testing as a preemptive response. We ask all related organizations to comply with social distancing quarantine rules and autonomously strengthen private gathering limits (6 persons), conduct regular preemptive testing for all employees, and recognize the third dose of vaccination as a basic measure and actively encourage participation.”
The representatives of the institutions expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for actively supporting quarantine supplies at the district level since the early stages of COVID-19,” and proposed institution-specific measures such as ▲support for self-test kits ▲installation of mobile screening clinics ▲additional support for quarantine personnel, to which the district responded that it would actively consider these proposals.
