Park Ji-sung "Contributing to Promoting Jeonbuk to the World Through Professional Soccer"
Meeting with Song Ha-jin, Governor of Jeonbuk, to Pledge Friendly Cooperation between Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC and Jeonbuk Province
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Former national soccer player Park Ji-sung (Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC Club Advisor) met with Song Ha-jin, Governor of Jeollabuk-do, on the 26th to pledge friendly cooperation between Jeollabuk-do and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
Advisor Park Ji-sung visited Jeonbuk on this day and held a meeting with Governor Song in the provincial government conference room, discussing promotional methods for mutual growth between the two organizations.
Advisor Park Ji-sung said, “I will join hands with Jeonbuk, a city of culture and arts, and contribute to promoting Jeonbuk to the world through professional soccer.”
In response, Governor Song Ha-jin said, “I warmly welcome Advisor Park Ji-sung’s activities and ask him to take the lead in revitalizing Jeonbuk soccer and successfully hosting the 2023 Jeonbuk Asia-Pacific Masters Tournament, as well as promoting Jeonbuk.”
Since retiring from active play in 2014, Advisor Park Ji-sung has taken administrative courses through the FIFA Master program, served as an advisory member of the International Football Association Board, and held positions such as Head of Youth Strategy at the Korea Football Association, stepping firmly into administrative work.
Also, since January this year, Advisor Park Ji-sung, who joined hands with Jeonbuk as the Club Advisor of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC, has been performing some roles of a technical director, including selection, development, and scouting of professional and youth players, proposing training systems, and managing player transfers and acquisitions for both professional and youth teams.
