KakaoBank to Supply 1.9 Trillion KRW to Low- and Medium-Credit Borrowers This Year... 14.6% in October
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] KakaoBank, an internet-only bank, has supplied 1.9701 trillion KRW to low- and medium-credit borrowers as of the end of September this year.
According to the Bankers Association on the 26th, KakaoBank's loan proportion to low- and medium-credit customers as of the end of October was 14.6%. This is an increase of 1.2 percentage points from 13.4% at the end of last month.
In terms of amount, KakaoBank supplied 679.7 billion KRW to low- and medium-credit customers with its own credit from July to September this year. Specifically, it supplied 114 billion KRW in July, 300.4 billion KRW in August, and 265.3 billion KRW in September. However, this figure excludes guaranteed mid-interest rate products such as Saeitdol loans and Haetsal loans.

KakaoBank's loan balance proportion to low- and medium-credit customers has also maintained a continuous upward trend: 10.9% at the end of July, 12.3% at the end of August, 13.4% at the end of September, and 14.6% at the end of October.
