Pianist Kim Dasol, Finale of Complete Beethoven Sonata Performance
On the 9th and 16th of next month, pianist Kim Dasol will hold concerts at Kumho Art Hall. He will present the final two performances of his complete Beethoven sonata series, which began in 2017. In the concert on the 9th, he will perform Beethoven Piano Sonatas No. 10, 25, 3, 16, 17, and 18. Then, in the concert on the 16th, he will play Piano Sonatas No. 2, 7, and the last three sonatas, Nos. 30, 31, and 32.

Pianist Kim Dasol is known as a "Beethoven specialist representing the new generation." His performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 during the New York Philharmonic's Korea tour in 2014 and his debut in New York in 2017 with Beethoven's Concerto No. 8 received critical acclaim. He was also invited to the Muzzik Dorf Ernen Festival in Switzerland, where over two years he completed a highly refined performance of the entire Beethoven piano sonata cycle. In October, he won second prize jointly at the 16th Vienna Beethoven International Piano Competition.
