Police Arrest Man in His 30s for Weapon Rampage at Ex-Girlfriend's House
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 30s who went to his ex-girlfriend's house and committed a violent attack with a weapon during his probation period was arrested by the police.
According to the police on the 25th, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul arrested Mr. A at the scene around 3:40 a.m. that day on charges of attempted murder for coming to a multi-family house in Majang-dong, Seongdong-gu, where his ex-girlfriend lives, carrying a weapon and threatening to kill her, and is currently investigating him.
Mr. A is accused of threatening by going to the house of his ex-girlfriend Ms. B, who had broken up with him, while carrying a weapon, saying, "Since I am on probation, it is beneficial to kill everyone and leave." It is also reported that Mr. A threatened to stab with the weapon after getting into a physical fight with another man who was with Ms. B at the time of the incident.
It is known that Mr. A committed the crime during his probation period after being convicted of assault in the past.
