This public hearing was jointly organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Ministry of Science and ICT to provide advance guidance on the detailed items and technologies eligible for support under the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Technology Development Project and to incorporate field opinions. The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Technology Development Project aims to strengthen domestic smart factory technology competitiveness and advance smart manufacturing innovation for small and medium enterprises. From next year through 2026, a total of 434.1 billion KRW, including 328.8 billion KRW in national funds, will be invested. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to hold the public hearing online and post the video on the internet for 10 days.
During the public hearing, task planning committee members will explain the detailed technology development items eligible for support, the task planning documents (request for proposals), and key points of technology development. The technology development items eligible for support were selected through three processes: designation of priority support areas by a task planning committee composed of experts, conducting a technology demand survey, and expert verification. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will finalize the technology development items by additionally reflecting opinions received during this public hearing.
