"Mini Fair, Unlimited Options, and More" Mayfield Hotel Seoul Hosts Wine Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Mayfield Hotel Seoul announced on the 25th that it has prepared an event where guests can enjoy sommelier-selected wines paired with special menus for the year-end season.
The Italian restaurant La Festa will hold a mini wine fair called 'The Grapes' throughout December, offering 120 types of wines from around the world including France, Spain, Italy, the United States, and Chile at reasonable prices. The event will be held four times (on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 31st), featuring 30 different wines each week. The lineup ranges from premium wines to popular selections. Guests can taste five wines and purchase their favorites.
A welcome drink of sparkling wine will be provided, and a 15-item semi-buffet paired with the wines will include cold cuts such as mortadella and smoked salmon, hot dishes like mussel stew, pork chop, and arrabbiata penne pasta, as well as salads and desserts.
The main course offers a choice between 'Coq au Vin,' a classic French dish of chicken and vegetables braised in wine, and 'Iberico Pork Neck,' cooked sous-vide with chipotle sauce and root vegetables to enhance its tender texture. A lucky draw event will offer prizes such as two-person weekday course meal vouchers for La Festa and wines. Purchased wines can be enjoyed at the hotel restaurant with free corkage until February 2022.
The buffet restaurant Castle Terrace is running a 'French Wine Package' until the 31st of next month, offering unlimited servings of four types of French wines. This event features wines from Southern France including 'Jadant Priv? Sauvignon Blanc,' 'Per Gour Pinot Noir,' 'Legrand Chemin,' and 'Divinum Cabernet Sauvignon.' The pairing menu includes palate-pleasing amuse-bouches, ginger orange grilled salmon, tamarind sauce marinated grouper, mackerel sashimi with soy-based special sauce, salsa verde beef chop steak, and grilled lamb chops.
