Yeonggwang-gun to Launch 'Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign' Starting Next Month
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 24th that it will carry out the ‘Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign’ under the slogan ‘Sharing, a social vaccine for all’ from next month 1st to January 31st of next year.
Donations are accepted by the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea and media outlets, and can be made through online reception windows of financial institutions. The Yeonggwang-gun Social Welfare Division and town and township offices also act as collection agents.
The funds raised by the county are redistributed back to the county through the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea and are used to support various areas that supplement public welfare services such as emergency support, social welfare facility support, housing repair projects for low-income families, and support for neighbors in need.
Every year, the amount allocated to the county is more than 200% of the amount raised. The more funds raised, the more money is allocated to the county, and the more people participate, the more benefits neighbors in need in the region can receive.
Governor Kim Junsung said, “If you practice precious sharing through this campaign, everyone’s happiness will double,” and added, “We ask for the enthusiastic participation of the residents, hoping that this will raise the temperature of love for the county, create a region full of precious sharing and warm affection, and become a meaningful campaign that delivers hope and dreams to neighbors in need.”
