On the 24th, at the '2021 Central Forum' held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno-gu, Seoul, Candidate Yoon stated, "The Democratic Party regime has cut off hope for the future," adding, "In the wilderness where the economy is collapsing and common sense and conscience have disappeared, populist poisonous mushrooms that deceive the people are blooming everywhere."
He continued, "Until now, our country has been a state-centered nation called 'Daehanminguk' (Republic of Korea)," and said, "From now on, our country will become a new nation centered on the 'people,' where individual freedom and creativity of the citizens are the most important."
To this end, he pledged to create a 'job nation' where jobs are continuously created. Candidate Yoon explained, "Jobs are both the starting point and the destination of the government's existence. I will place jobs at the center of national governance," adding, "When there are no jobs, job welfare means guaranteeing livelihood, providing opportunities for technical training, and supporting hardworking people so they do not fall into poverty."
Candidate Yoon also emphasized the importance of a 'global citizen nation' that contributes to global values. He said, "Among the many countries that gained independence after World War II, we are the only country that has joined the ranks of advanced nations," and added, "We will share our experiences in education, industrial transformation, and utilization of global trade, which were the core factors of our growth, with many countries that want to follow the path we have taken."
Along with this, he stressed the importance of 'fairness and trust.' Candidate Yoon stated, "The unfairness that the older generation, born in developing countries and raised in advanced countries, endured or sometimes had to endure, has become intolerable and unforgivable unfairness for the current generation born and raised as citizens of advanced countries," and said, "I will firmly implement the principle of the rule of law that applies fairly to all our citizens, where everyone takes responsibility commensurate with their wrongdoing."
