Dongseo Donates 660 Million Won in Year-End Neighbor Assistance Fund
Chairman Kim Seok-su Donates 35,000 Shares to Four Organizations Including the Community Chest of Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Dongseo and Dongseo Foods announced on the 23rd that they will donate a total of 660 million KRW in neighbor-helping funds to the Community Chest of Korea, Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, Korean Red Cross, Naver Happy Bean, and Good Neighbors to mark the end of the year.
The donated funds will be used for basic living expenses for socially vulnerable groups, support for cold-weather supplies, academic support for children from low-income families, and support for medical staff on the front lines of COVID-19 prevention.
Kim Seok-su, chairman of Dongseo Foods, also donated a total of 35,000 shares of Dongseo stock to the Community Chest of Korea, Seoul National University, Seoul National University Hospital, and UNICEF. Based on the closing price on the 22nd, this is worth approximately 1.2 billion KRW.
