On the 22nd, Chairman Chung made these remarks during a meeting with reporters at 'Hyundai Motorstudio' located in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. On the same day, he met with Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum to sign a partnership for the 'Youth Hope On Project' and pledged to expand youth employment.
Regarding questions about battery internalization, he said, "We may conduct research together with battery companies, but I believe production will be handled by the battery manufacturers themselves, not directly by us."
He forecasted that the proportion of electric vehicles will steadily increase going forward.
Chairman Chung explained, "Electric vehicles will continue to progress until 2040, and their portion will increase. Things are proceeding as planned." Regarding electric vehicle production at the U.S. factory next year, he said, "It will not start from next year, but it is planned, and we are currently reviewing the timing."

They will significantly expand new hires in core future businesses such as robotics, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), hydrogen energy, and autonomous driving. They will also support the creation of about 16,000 jobs through talent development and startup support programs.
Through talent development programs including 3,400 group company internships, 5,600 technology specialists via industry-academia cooperation such as research scholarships, contract departments, and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with specialized high schools, a total of 15,000 employment opportunities will be supported over three years.
Chairman Chung emphasized, "As a company, it is our duty to prosper our business to create more jobs and to ensure that young people can demonstrate their talents in those jobs."
