Shinsegae International, S.I.LIVE Recruiting 2nd Batch of 'Personal Shopper'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Shinsegae International announced on the 22nd that it will open recruitment for the 2nd generation of ‘Personal Shoppers’ who will take charge of its own live broadcast specialized in discovering talent tailored to the rapidly growing live commerce market.
Shinsegae International’s own live commerce platform, SI Live, launched last year, produces broadcasts specialized in premium fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands and products. It has established its own broadcasting studio for live broadcast production and is conducting broadcasts by nurturing Personal Shoppers who provide differentiated services like VIP dedicated shoppers instead of general show hosts.
Currently, the 1st generation of Personal Shoppers with diverse backgrounds such as models, designers, stylists, and MC experience are active on SI Live. Selected through a competitive rate of 100:1 last June, they actively participate not only in live broadcast hosting but also in planning broadcasts by directly selecting products that match trends, providing customers with rich content and information.
Unlike existing live broadcasts that focus on discount rates and purchase benefits within limited broadcast time, SI Live aims for broadcasts centered on content such as brand stories, product styling tips, and trends. Since the broadcasts contain highly useful content, it is characterized by high replay viewing rates and customer satisfaction through various channels even after the broadcast ends.
Anyone with a high understanding of trends and products and confidence in hosting brand-related broadcasts can apply for the 2nd generation recruitment of ‘Personal Shoppers’ regardless of age, education, major, or occupation. This year, to secure competitiveness in the rapidly changing live commerce market, candidates with abundant mobile broadcasting experience or social network service (SNS) activity experience will be given preference.
Applications can be submitted through the ‘2022 Personal Shopper Recruitment’ page within SI Village, and applicants must submit a simple self-introduction and a video within 2 minutes introducing SI Village’s tenant brands along with the application form by December 5. First-round successful candidates will undergo a practical live broadcast test based on a random topic from either the fashion or beauty category, followed by a final interview to select the final successful candidates.
The final successful candidates will be responsible for fixed hosting on SI Live once or twice a month for the next six months and will receive various benefits including appearance fees and purchase discounts on products from SI Village tenants. All first-round successful candidates will also receive e-points worth 50,000 KRW usable at SI Village.
