[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, is reported to have promised to create and secure more than 40,000 youth jobs during a meeting with Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum on the 22nd.
According to the business community on the 21st, Prime Minister Kim and Chairman Chung will meet on the 22nd at Hyundai Motorstudio in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, as part of the government's 'Youth Hope ON Project' to discuss ways to expand youth employment and future mobility.
This is the sixth time Prime Minister Kim has met with heads of major business groups through this project, following KT, Samsung, LG, SK, and POSCO. Chairman Chung is expected to pledge the largest number of youth jobs in the business community, exceeding 40,000 positions.

Previously, Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong pledged 30,000 jobs, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo committed to 39,000 jobs over three years, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won promised 27,000 jobs, and POSCO Group Chairman Choi Jeong-woo announced 25,000 jobs. KT also plans to hire 12,000 new employees over the next three years.
