On the 18th, a petition titled "Request for severe punishment and disclosure of identities of a group of middle school students who caused a disturbance and kicked out customers at a restaurant in downtown Daegu" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board.
The petitioner stated that the offending students overturned tables and pushed the restaurant owner, Mr. A, and his wife, adding, "Mr. A's wife reportedly suffered such a severe shock that she required psychiatric treatment. The students believed that because they are juvenile offenders, the punishment would be light, which led to this incident," and urged, "We want this group of middle school students to be detained and severely punished. The sentence must be strong."
They also added, "We request strong punishment and disclosure of their identities to prevent such incidents from happening again."
According to a Daegu MBC report on the 16th, on the 10th, about ten middle school students threatened and caused a disturbance at a restaurant in Dong-gu, Daegu. It is known that they committed the crime after holding a grudge from being scolded by Mr. A for smoking and urinating in front of the store the previous day.
The students, who visited the restaurant twice, kicked out customers and smashed the closed-circuit television (CCTV) installed in the building with their fists. They also overturned tables and pushed Mr. A and his wife, causing a riot. Mr. A reported them to the police.
According to Mr. A, the students even made statements implying, "We won't go to prison even if we kill someone."
Mr. A also lamented that the students' guardians showed a brazen attitude, saying, "Why did you provoke them instead of disciplining them until they reached this state?"
According to the police, these students attend a nearby middle school and are in grades 1 to 3. One of them has previously been criminally charged and is currently under probation.

The police have filed charges of property damage against three ringleaders among them and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident. After the investigation, one first-grade middle school student who is a juvenile offender will be sent to the family court's juvenile division, and the other two third-grade middle school students will be sent to the prosecution.
