[Weekend Weather] Fine Dust 'Bad' in Seoul Metropolitan Area... Rain in Some Areas on Sunday
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] On Saturday the 20th, the whole country will be mostly clear, but clouds will gradually increase from the afternoon along the East Coast.
The morning low temperatures are forecasted to be between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs between 13 and 20 degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between day and night will be more than 15 degrees, especially inland.
Fine dust levels will be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong region, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk, while other regions will experience 'moderate' levels.
On Sunday the 21st, dense fine dust will continue. Rain will fall in some areas from the afternoon. Due to stagnant air, fine dust levels will be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Sejong, Chungbuk, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk. Other regions are expected to have 'moderate' levels.
Rain starting from Jeju in the afternoon will spread overnight to the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungnam, and the southern coastal areas. Expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 20 mm in the central regions (excluding Gangwon Yeongdong), Jeolla region, Jeju, the five West Sea islands, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo, and less than 5 mm in Gangwon Yeongdong and the Gyeongsang region.
Morning low temperatures will be around 7 degrees in Seoul, 8 degrees in Gwangju, and 11 degrees in Busan, with nationwide levels between 3 and 11 degrees Celsius. Daytime highs are forecasted to be between 13 and 19 degrees Celsius.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea nearshore. Offshore waves (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West and South Seas.
