Gyeongbuk Province Launches 'Proactive Employment Stability Package' Support Project
Review of This Year’s ‘Goseonpae’ Best Practices, Gathering On-Site Voices and Identifying Demand
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] Gyeongsangbuk-do held an on-site meeting with business owners who participated in the 2021 Employment Stability Preemptive Response Package Support Project on the 19th.
The meeting was held to reflect the opinions of this year’s participating companies, identify the demand for next year’s project, and prepare improvement measures.
The Gyeongbuk Employment Stability Preemptive Response Package Support Project was first implemented last year as a public contest project by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The goal is to invest a total of 69.75 billion KRW over five years in regions where employment crises are anticipated, promoting job projects linked to industrial policies and stabilizing the employment market.
This year, a total of 10.5 billion KRW is being invested, aiming to support 150 companies, improve environments for 43 companies, provide vocational training for 270 people, support startups for 27 companies, offer employment services to 1,470 people, and create 1,380 good jobs.
The province plans to seek the most effective support measures for companies, prepare step-by-step support policies to enhance corporate technological competitiveness, and foster a new industrial ecosystem.
Attendees at the meeting included Park Jae-hyun, CEO of BK; Kim Jin-gyu, CEO of MTQ; Kim Cheol-woo, Vice President of Hwaseong Precision; Jeon Ki-young, CEO of Korea ENE; and Woo Yong-seon, Director of KDG Electronics, among 10 participants.
The business owners emphasized the need to expand various policy supports for companies with excellent technological capabilities and to establish a system that continuously supports them according to their years of operation.
There were also calls to prepare concrete measures linked to policies such as securing policy funds, marketing support, and conducting education and training.
During this year’s project, commonly called ‘Goseonpae,’ excellent cases were presented, such as resolving the shortage of technical experts in small and medium-sized enterprises by hiring highly skilled retired professionals.
KDG Electronics is a manufacturer of lighting devices for transportation equipment and is attempting to transition its business to the renewable energy sector.
To change its business sector, the company received technical guidance from highly skilled retired technical experts through the Goseonpae project and developed a prototype of an intelligent LED streetlight utilizing solar energy.
Based on the developed product, the company plans to promote large-scale hiring next year for mass production.
IT, an agricultural machinery manufacturer, succeeded last year in developing a prototype of a smart unmanned sprayer for agricultural fertilizer application through project participation.
This year, they launched their own brand ‘AMT-100,’ equipped with a smart controller function that automatically measures soil moisture and adjusts water supply, and hired nine new employees for product mass production.
