Gwangju Seobu Fire Station Conducts Comprehensive Emergency Rescue Drill with Related Agencies
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Western Fire Station (Chief Yang Young-gyu) conducted a comprehensive emergency rescue training on the 19th to strengthen disaster response capabilities and establish a cooperative system with related organizations.
The training, aimed at mastering the mission execution of the Emergency Rescue Control Team and preparing for disasters involving multiple casualties, took place at the Sangmu Waste Incineration Plant with the participation of 8 fire trucks and 85 personnel.
The training simulated a scenario of an unexplained explosion and fire, and was conducted with the following contents: ▲ dispatch and situation reporting upon arrival at the scene ▲ activation of the control team after the arrival of the on-site command unit ▲ firefighting activities including rescue and fire suppression ▲ recovery and cleanup.
Yang Young-gyu, Chief of the Western Fire Station, stated, “In preparation for With COVID-19, our fire station will take the lead in creating a safe Republic of Korea through customized training to strengthen emergency rescue capabilities for disaster preparedness.”
