Aiming to Diversify K-Pop Genres... KMW Concert Until the 22nd
ITZY, BoA, MOMOLAND, Kihyun, Oh My Girl, and Others to Appear
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency will hold the 'K-Music Week (KMW)' concert from the 18th to the 22nd. It is an online performance delivering various genres of popular music to Hallyu fans. Focusing on expanding the base and revitalizing Hallyu, the concert will showcase performances by thirty-eight teams.
The first performance on the 18th features Norazo, Loco, Momoland, Blackswan, Key, HOOK, and others, cheering on students who have completed the College Scholastic Ability Test. The next day, Kim Jaehwan, MeloMance, Soyou, Yoo Seungwoo, Punch, and others will sing drama OSTs. On the 20th, BoA, ADOY, ITZY, Jung Sewoon, and others will give special meaning to K-pop. The following day, Golden Child, ONF, and others will visit locations from K-pop music videos to present special performances. On the 22nd, Lucy, STAYC, Everglow, Oh My Girl, Lee Chanwon, Crack Silver, and others will close the event by performing this year's hit songs. The host will be actress Jung Ji-so, known for the films 'Parasite' and 'Method: Repetition.'

Fifteen teams selected as outstanding musicians at 'MUCON 2021' last September will also take the stage. Omega X, TRI.BE (both on the 18th), Gaho, Se So Neon (both on the 19th), ARIAZ, Woo Jin Young, K-TIGERS ZERO, Hot Issue (all on the 20th), Moon Jongup, Alexa, Yooha, T1419 (all on the 21st), Grizzly, BIBI, Ahn Ye Eun (all on the 22nd), and others. A representative from the Korea Creative Content Agency said, "All of them are receiving support for online promotions targeting the European market," adding, "We hope this concert will raise their recognition and influence."
