This event was conducted non-face-to-face via YouTube considering the impact of COVID-19, and the center users showcased 'Danta-Dance and Percussion Performance' and 'Aerobics,' which they learned with support from the Gwangju City Disabled Welfare Fund and the Seo-gu Community Security Council.
At the exhibition, 25 artworks created by users through the Korea Disabled Welfare Center Association's '2021 Cultural Arts Project Art Program' and rattan craft works made by the adult developmental disability self-help group at the Gwangju Developmental Disability Support Center attracted attention.
Choi Jeong-in, CEO of Irum Daycare Center, said, "After considering ways to communicate with local residents and volunteers who have endured difficult times due to COVID-19, we prepared a non-face-to-face busking performance and exhibition."
She added, "It was a precious time to feel the happiness and vitality of the center users preparing for the recovery of daily life. We thank related organizations such as Gwangju City, Nongsung 2-dong Community Center, and Seo-gu Volunteer Center for their help, and we will continue to do our best for the happiness of people with developmental disabilities and their families."
