Medical Care in the Global Era... Kosin University Gospel Hospital Participates in Busan International Medical Tourism Convention for 13 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Kosin University Gospel Hospital participated in the 13th Busan International Medical Tourism Convention held during the transition period to COVID-19 normalcy.
The event was hosted by Busan City and organized by the Busan Medical Industry Council from the 12th to the 13th.
At the event, Kosin University Hospital conducted non-face-to-face lectures and meetings with Russia and Mongolia's Healthy Life, and Saudi Arabia's Alim International. They signed a memorandum of understanding to promote medical tourism with the National Medical Center of Hospital No. 1 in the Sakha Republic, Russia.
At the ‘Busan Famous Doctors Invitation Health Lecture,’ Professor Park Mu-in was selected as the leading expert on stomach cancer, and Professor Park Seon-ja was selected as the leading expert on colorectal cancer.
Professor Park Seon-ja conducted a live online and offline lecture titled ‘Treatment for Colorectal Cancer Patients’ both domestically and internationally.
Professor Kang Ji-hoon from the Department of Family Medicine addressed questions regarding trends, treatment methods, and pre- and post-care for Russian patients visiting Korea at the Korea-Russia Medical Staff International Academic Conference held to establish an overseas network for the Busan Seo-gu Medical Tourism Special Zone.
Kim Jin-su, CEO of the Busan Medical Industry Council, said in his opening remarks, “I hope this event, held both online and offline this year, will open a new chapter for Busan’s medical tourism.”
