'Ulsan Technopark Hosts Plaque Ceremony for Disaster Safety Industry R&D and Business Support'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, trainee reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Ulsan City announced on the 15th that it will hold the 'Ulsan Disaster Safety Industry Support Center Plaque Ceremony' and officially begin operations.
About 20 industry-academia-research officials attended the plaque ceremony, including Jang Su-wan, Deputy Mayor for Administration, the National Disaster Safety Research Institute, the Chamber of Commerce, and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology.
The event was held at Ulsan Technopark and proceeded in the order of explaining Ulsan disaster safety industry promotion plans, introducing the operation plan of the Ulsan Disaster Safety Industry Support Center, and unveiling the plaque.
The center's main functions include disaster safety industry research and development and corporate support, supporting the construction of the Ulsan Disaster Safety Industry Promotion Center, attracting and supporting the establishment of the Korea Disaster Safety Industry Promotion Institute.
Deputy Mayor Jang Su-wan said, "We will spare no support to ensure that Ulsan takes its place as the 'center of the disaster prevention research network safety belt' in the Yeongnam Grand Megacity."
