View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Actress Kim Bu-seon announced on the 14th that she has dismissed attorney Kang Yong-seok, who was representing her in the damages lawsuit against Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate. It appears that Kang was dismissed because he mentioned Kim's private matters on YouTube.
On the same day, Kim wrote on her Facebook, "Goodbye Kang Yong-seok. It has been terrible all this time," and said, "I am dismissing attorney Kang Yong-seok. I don't need such a lawyer."
She continued, "If things don't go well, I will proceed with the lawsuit alone. I don't need a lawyer like Kang Yong-seok to reveal the truth," adding, "I will trust only the friends who believe in and support me, and slowly go freely on my own. Thank you."
She also posted again, sharing a video from the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (Gaseyeon) where Kang appeared, saying, "My legal representative lawyer disclosed and leaked all of the client's private life. What do you think?"
Earlier, on the 10th, during a live broadcast of 'Gaseyeon,' Kang mentioned physical characteristics of candidate Lee that Kim had previously claimed.
He said, "Kim drew a picture related to Lee's physical features during the prosecution investigation. Anyone reading the report would think Kim could not be lying," and added, "All sorts of stories come out. It's not just simple family or physical secrets." In this process, Kang also talked about Kim's private matters.
Kim criticized Kang as a "malicious lawyer" in the comments, saying, "He is a lawyer who causes secondary harm to the victim and deserves to be in the Guinness Book."
Later, through another post, Kim said, "I wanted to join forces with Kang Yong-seok to expose Lee Jae-myung's true face to the world, but I failed," and added, "I will repay the encouragement and support even if it is through a solo lawsuit."
Meanwhile, Kim claims that she first met candidate Lee in 2007 and dated him for about 15 months. Lee denied the relationship, and in September 2018, Kim filed a damages lawsuit worth 300 million won, claiming that Lee had labeled her as a pathological liar, causing her mental and financial harm.
