Hwasun-gun Extends 'Chrysanthemum Garden Viewing Period' Until the 21st

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 12th that the "Hwasun Chrysanthemum Garden Viewing" held in the Namsan Park area will be extended until the 21st.

The county had planned to operate the "Chrysanthemum Garden Reservation Viewing System" until the 14th, but due to the large number of visitors wanting to enjoy the chrysanthemum feast spread across the garden, it decided to extend the period.

Reservations will be required until the 14th, and from the 15th, visitors can enter freely without a reservation.

The county plans to allow free entry to the Chrysanthemum Garden in line with the phased recovery of daily life, while strictly managing quarantine procedures.

Accordingly, visitors can enter through quarantine procedures such as wearing masks, safe call, and temperature checks, and must comply with quarantine rules such as wearing masks and prohibiting food consumption.

Since the start of the Chrysanthemum Garden reservation viewing on the 27th of last month until the day before, 36,478 visitors have come, and the flow of visitors continues without interruption.

Instead of holding the Chrysanthemum Festival, the county installed various chrysanthemum sculptures at Namsan Park’s Chrysanthemum Garden, which is embroidered with 12 million chrysanthemum flowers, as well as at Dongguri Lake Park and Gwangdeok Cultural Plaza, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the autumn atmosphere.

A county official said, "Despite the cancellation of the festival, the footsteps of residents and tourists who want to enjoy the chrysanthemum feast and autumn atmosphere have not stopped, so we decided to extend the viewing period to repay their support. We hope visitors come to the Chrysanthemum Garden to relax and take good memories with them."
