This seminar was arranged when Daniel Gomez Gaviria, Vice Minister of the National Planning Department of Colombia, who visited Korea as part of the Colombian Vice President's official visit delegation, visited Kibo to share support systems for small and medium enterprises related to his country's national development plan policies and institutional development, and to discuss future cooperation plans.
Since the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Colombia and Korea came into effect in 2016, trade and investment have been continuously expanding, making Colombia a key trade partner showing the fastest economic growth in Latin America.
Kibo explained to the Colombian National Planning Department delegation the composition principles and model structures of its proprietary technology evaluation system, 'KTRS,' and provided detailed guidance on how Kibo's evaluation system is applied in practical assessments through evaluation case studies.
Since 2015, Kibo has transferred its technology evaluation system to developing countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Peru through the Ministry of Strategy and Finance's Economic Development Experience Sharing Program, and notably, it is the only non-European country participating in the European Union-supported project to establish a European-style technology evaluation service platform.
