On the 10th, 7-Eleven partnered with premium handmade eomuk brand Goraesa Eomuk to launch a series of ready-to-eat meals featuring eomuk. The Goraesa Eomuk Soup Lunchbox is composed in a full meal concept with generous portions of Goraesa eomuk, stir-fried sausage, pork cutlet, stir-fried kimchi, and rice. The Goraesa Eomuk Udon includes four popular types of eomuk: shrimp stick, tofu stick, grilled eomuk, and square eomuk.
At 7-Eleven, sales of instant eomuk from the 1st to the 9th increased by 36.2% compared to the same period last year. Winter representative snacks such as steamed buns and roasted sweet potatoes also rose by 28.9% and 32.8%, respectively, during the same period.
A 7-Eleven official said, “As the minimum temperature has dropped sharply recently and the winter season has officially begun, the demand for winter snacks has greatly increased. In response, we have newly introduced winter ready-to-eat meals.”
Ministop released squid ddeong eomuk in limited quantities. This eomuk uses squid as the main ingredient and balances domestic green onions, carrots, and other fresh vegetables from Korea. In particular, the unique chewy texture of squid and the aroma of domestic fresh vegetables are combined in an optimal ratio, making it chewier and richer in flavor than regular eomuk. Ministop is holding a 300 won discount event on three instant eomuk items to celebrate the product launch until the 16th.
