Wanju, Jinan, Muju, Jangsu, Element Water Shortage 'Takes a Breather!'
(유)Aton Industry and Priority Supply Agreement Signed... Congressman An Ho-young's Behind-the-Scenes Efforts for Agreement Signing
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County, along with Jinan County, Muju County, and Jangsu County, has been able to breathe a sigh of relief, even if only briefly, in securing urea water, which has recently been in short supply.
On the 8th, Wanju County, Jinan County, Muju County, and Jangsu County signed a 'Priority Supply Agreement for Essential Vehicles Using Urea Water in Jeonbuk Province' with Aton Industry Co., Ltd., a urea water manufacturer, at Wanju County Office.
The signing ceremony was attended by Park Seong-il, Wanju County Governor; deputy governors of Jinan, Muju, and Jangsu counties; National Assembly member Ahn Ho-young (Labor and Environment Committee whip); Kim Ki-won, CEO of Aton Industry; Jeong Jae-ho, head of the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of NongHyup; and Yang Bong-sik, chairman of the Jeonbuk Freight Truck Transportation Business Association.
These organizations and Aton Industry Co., Ltd. agreed to prevent operational restrictions on local diesel vehicles caused by the shortage of urea water in advance through mutual trust and cooperation, and to ensure smooth supply of urea water.
To this end, local governments including Wanju, Jangsu, Jinan, and Muju counties will actively cooperate in administrative support for Aton Industry’s urea water production, and Aton Industry will strive to secure local urea water distribution and prioritize supply to residents and public institution diesel vehicles.
They also agreed to continuously cooperate to stabilize the supply and demand of urea water and work together to overcome the urea water crisis.
In particular, the signing ceremony attracted attention as National Assembly member Ahn Ho-young, representing the region, took an active role.
Upon hearing that Aton Industry had secured supplies before China imposed export restrictions on urea water raw materials due to domestic shortages, Ahn visited the company abruptly and requested that, considering the characteristics of the Eastern Mountain region of Wanju County where many agricultural machinery and diesel vehicles are used, priority supply be made through the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of NongHyup.
Kim Ki-won, CEO of Aton Industry, who has a strong belief in not exploiting others' crises for personal gain while running his business, accepted Ahn’s request on a magnanimous level.
According to the agreement with Aton Industry Co., Ltd. on this day, the Jeonbuk Freight Truck Transportation Business Association and the local governments of Wanju, Jinan, Muju, and Jangsu will receive and distribute urea water through the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of NongHyup.
Assemblyman Ahn said, “I am grateful for the generous decision of CEO Kim Ki-won of Aton Industry, who does not seek personal gain in this crisis of urea water shortage,” and added, “If we all unite, we can wisely overcome this crisis.”
CEO Kim Ki-won emphasized, “In a situation where the instability of urea water supply could lead to serious issues such as suspension of related vehicle operations, we have signed a priority supply agreement thanks to the prompt response of Assemblyman Ahn and Wanju County,” and said, “We will do our utmost to prioritize distribution so that local residents and public institution vehicles can operate without disruption.”
