Hankom Group Launches Autonomous Driving Mobility Business in Full Swing... Collaboration with ETRI
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Hancom Group is set to actively advance its autonomous driving mobility business.
On the 8th, according to Hancom Group, its affiliate Hancom Inspace will receive four technologies from the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI): vehicle position and movement information prediction technology, LiDAR sensor-based obstacle tracking and autonomous driving decision control technology, video-based autonomous driving perception AI technology, and LiDAR-based autonomous driving perception and prediction AI technology.
Hancom Inspace will internalize core technologies necessary for autonomous driving mobility services, including autonomous driving route planning, autonomous driving in urban and rural environments, traffic light and 3D moving object recognition technology.
They will promote the advancement and commercialization of autonomous driving technology through regular exchanges with ETRI.
Based on the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with Sejong City in July to create a Sejong-type smart city, Hancom Group plans to commercialize autonomous driving mobility services, including participation in autonomous driving bus demonstration projects.
