Launch of Corporation Supporting Hallyu Content Creation and Export
Nonprofit Organization Under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism 'K-Contents Creator Union'
A corporation supporting the creation and export of Hallyu content will be launched on the 8th. It is the K-Content Creators Federation (KFCC), a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Participants include multi-channel network (MCN) companies, studios, media, exhibition companies, and individual YouTubers. The Korea International Trade Association and COEX will also join as special members. Song Jaeryong, the inaugural president, said, "Korea has limitless potential with global content such as K-pop," and added, "We will create a cultural event differentiated by an independent system, like VidCon, a representative content festival in the United States." KFCC will hold its inauguration ceremony, founding conference, and awards ceremony on the 14th of next month at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It will provide customized services such as creator education and support for content (live commerce) production going forward.
