Lee Yong-jae, Former Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member, Points Out "Low Integrity Level of Provincial Office of Education"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-gyeong] Lee Yong-jae, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly (Democratic Party of Korea·Gwangyang 1), pointed out during the administrative audit of the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education that the office has remained at a low level for several years in the anti-corruption activity evaluation of public institutions and urged for improvement.
According to the data submitted by Assemblyman Lee Yong-jae on the 7th, the Jeollanam-do Office of Education has remained at grade 3 from 2018 to 2020 according to the Integrity Evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and the corruption prevention policy evaluation has continuously declined from grade 2 (excellent) in 2018, grade 3 (average) in 2019, to grade 4 (poor) in 2020.
Assemblyman Lee Yong-jae stated, “The integrity and corruption prevention index, which the Superintendent of Education focuses on the most, has continuously remained in the lower ranks,” and added, “There were also some corruption cases related to the supply of government procurement materials this year.”
