‘Social Innovation Achievements Sharing’ Event Held in Jeonju
'2021 Jeonju Social Innovation Festival', Held Online and Offline on the 5th and 6th
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeonju City announced that it is holding the '2021 Jeonju Social Innovation Festival' both online and offline from the 5th at Seonosong-dong Social Innovation Jeonju in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Marking its 4th year, this year's Jeonju Social Innovation Festival was graced by numerous figures who have pioneered their own paths and led innovation in various fields, including Seo Kyung-duk, a Korean public relations expert and professor at Sungshin Women's University, as well as Park Joon-su and Jung Maria, co-CEOs of Ton28.
Under the theme of 'Great, Small Steps,' Jeonju City focused on highlighting small issues that had been overlooked due to major issues such as COVID-19, emphasizing that the core of society and innovation begins with small things.
On the first day, the 5th, a performance was held starting with posting the slogan "The Tomorrow of Jeonju Imagined and Hoped by Citizens" on the wall, followed by a lecture titled 'Sosoikseon' (Small but Useful).
The lecture was attended by Professor Seo Kyung-duk, Yoon Dong-hee, CEO of the one-person publishing company Book Nomad, and Park Joon-su and Jung Maria, co-CEOs of Ton28.
On the second day, the 6th, a sharing session of the achievements of Social Innovation Jeonju projects will be held, including △Community Problem-Solving Projects (Living Lab - Co-production) △Organizational Change Experiment Support △Social Innovation Youth Community Support Projects.
Additionally, Social Innovation Jeonju will operate programs such as △Jeonju Citizens' Small Happiness Photo Exhibition_Happy Moments △Our Neighborhood Problem Sarangbang Exhibition △Jeonju's Small Giants Film Screening.
The 2021 Jeonju Social Innovation Festival is being broadcast live through the Jeonju Social Innovation Center's YouTube channel.
Jeonju City also implemented all programs in the metaverse in collaboration with the Jeonbuk Digital Social Innovation Center.
